Our House Wine
Grapes have been cultivated and Wines produced in the Elbe Valley between Pillnitz and Diesbar-Seußlitz since the 14th Century. These wines are cultivated on both sides of the river, although the vineyards along the left of the river tend to small but fine. And as such, our house wine, a Müller-Thurgau, originates from one such vineyard in the region of Merbitz-Cossebaude.
Our viniculturist Lars Wellhöfer works 3 vineyards in total, in Niederwartha, Cossebaude and Kleinschönberg. Die local climates of those areas and the loamy soils are the basis for the special character of the produced wine. And as such Traminer, Kernling, Portugieser and Spätburgunder.
